Located at 223 Avenue B, New York, NY 10009, Pop’s Pizza of East Village operates as a pizza restaurant serving New York in New York. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Pizza places in the United States run from a counter with two stools and a stack of boxes to a full sit-down pizzeria with a bar, and most neighborhood shops do all three things at once: dine-in, takeout and delivery. Ordering by phone is still common and often faster than an app, and many independents charge less when you call direct because there is no platform fee. Sizes are usually listed in inches (a small around 10", a large 14", an extra-large 16" or more), and a large feeds two to three adults. Slices are sold from a display case at New York-style counters and reheated to order; whole pies take 15-25 minutes at a busy shop. Most spots take cards and mobile pay, though a few older pizzerias remain cash-only, so check the door or the listing before you order.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. The most common schedule is 11 am–12 am. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. New York is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and New York follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Walked past and decided to try—shockingly good pizza!!!!!! The burrata slice had just the right amount of tomato sauce (not too little like other places)— I would suggest getting it without hot honey though! The sauce was a perfect sauce which tasted very fresh. Fresh basil on top too. Not really a place to dine in per se but there are some stools at a counter and one two person table.

I was intrigued by the high rating. Great slice shop with pies to go, plus limited seating on premise. I thought the basic cheese slice was solid, crispy, tasty. The Upside Down was better: a thick slice that was crispy on the bottom, with savory sauce and cheese. But the real five star slice was the Grandma, with the same crisp undercarriage, fresh mozzarella, and a generous coat of amazing tomatoe sauce, plus a little shredded basil. Highly recommended. The staff even grate fresh Pecorino Romano cheese on the slices when they come out of the oven.

Stopped by Pop’s Pizza in the East Village and was really impressed. The pizza was very flavorful and clearly made with care. I had the burrata slice, which came with hot honey and freshly grated Parmesan, and it was excellent. The crust was perfect crispy on the outside with a nice chew and the sauce had a great, well balanced flavor. What really stood out was the burrata. A lot of places serve burrata and it ends up being room temperature or just kind of blended in by the time it hits the table, but here the burrata was cold, and that contrast in temperature with the hot pizza really elevated the whole experience. It made each bite feel intentional and well thought out. On top of that, everything here is fairly affordable, which is always a plus for the area, and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. Definitely a solid spot I’d come back to.

Classic NYC slice shop with a friendly, no-frills atmosphere. The pizza was super fresh, with that perfect thin crust and just the right amount of cheese and sauce. You can really taste the quality. Great spot to grab a quick bite in the East Village.
